Costa De La Luz Holidays At Late Deals

Explore The 'Bodegas' Or Visit The Famous Formula 1 Circuit In Jerez...

Costa de la Luz holidays are a world away from those taken in the fellow 'Brits abroad' Costa's. Here you will find much more quintessential Spanish tradition and all the Andalucian charm you could ever dream of. The area boasts the best of the sizzling Spanish summer sun and stretches from the Portuguese border through to the coastal town of Tarifa located on the straits of Gibraltar, famed for its wind based water sports. There are many long stretches of unrivalled powder soft sandy beach to enjoy, perfect for a sunset stroll along the shoreline.

Holidays in the Costa de la Luz are great for an active holiday, where you can really get to grips with the local way of life. Jerez is a popular city in the Costa de la Luz - home to many 'bodegas', which you can take guided tours of to see where sherry and brandy gets produced. Ironically, despite all this abundant alcohol, Jerez is home to a famous racing circuit, which has staged many prominent Formula One grand prixs, where extremely close racing often occurs. The walled city of Cadiz, along with Huelva are two more popular haunts along this beautiful coastline, due in the main to their striking cathedrals and popular markets.

Feel The Passionate Culture Whilst Gazing Upon The Breathtaking Coastline...

Alternatively, if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the cities and want to relax in the comfort of a beach resort, then Islantilla, Novo Sancti Petri and Chipiona will provide idyllic bases for you, where the Sierra Moreno Mountains will be your backdrop. Couples will love the upmarket accommodation here, where the hotels usually offer a half board stay. You can also visit the Andalucian heartland of Seville, famous for its orange groves, where you can see some fascinating architecture including a sublime Gothic cathedral. It's the home of 'Flamenco' and is a place that is very iconic of Spain's traditions. If further proof was needed, it is also home to the Sevilla - Real Betis football derby, which is one of the most keenly fought derby battles in world football. Embracing the local culture is very much part of Costa de la Luz holidays - speaking the local lingo might be the only way of being understood in some of the more remote villages here, so be prepared to be adventurous!

Whether you are enjoying the beach life, wandering the markets, or sampling the delights of the traditional tapas food at a local bar, it is hard to escape the full blooded, passionate omnipresent aura that makes this breathtaking area so special. If you did fancy a change of culture and scenery, then why not head to Morocco for the day? A short ferry crossing from Tarifa to Tangiers will allow you to experience yet another perspective when you spend your holidays here. So if you fancy trying somewhere different this year away from the identikit beach resorts, which has somewhat of a more soulful culture and plenty of character, then the Costa de la Luz could be just right for you - I'm sure your bags are already packed!
