Holidays in Ibiza Town by day are an upmarket sea of stylish boutiques, charming terraces and courtyards mixed in with art galleries, museums and romantic restaurants. At the heart of the old town is the Dalt Vila ringed by Renaissance fort walls it has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. An atmospheric drawbridge and gateway leads to a charismatic main square through narrow cobbled streets that meander to a cathedral. Further towards the coastline there is a glitzy harbour and marine area where the glamorous park their yachts. Once you've explored the old town then head to one of the nearby beaches for a day of soaking up the sun on golden sands and warm waters. Talamanca Beach is the closest and Figueretes Beach has an attractive palm lined promenade. Playa Den Bossa's popular beach is just south of the town and can be reached by buses and taxi's and even a water taxi.
