Malaga holidays will take you to the southern region of Andalucia in Spain. Blessed with over 300 days of sunshine every year, it's easy to see why it attracts thousands of visitors to this area, the Costa del Sol. There are many beach resorts and inland villages to discover and the city of Malaga itself is amazing. Offering a mix of different cultures, you can lose yourself in the atmosphere of the theatre, watch flamenco dancers or stroll around the many art galleries and museums.
The city of Malaga has a colourful history, dating back to the 8th century BC when the area was inhabited by Greeks then later the Carthaginians. It was in 218 BC when the city was taken over by the Romans, who are responsible for the amphitheatre and architecture we see today. Wander down the narrow streets and find yourself at the magnificent cathedral in the main plaza. Stop off for a bite to eat at one of the street cafes before heading to the shopping district Plaza de Larios.
