Make the most of the stunning views on Moraira
Moraira is on the coast below Javea. It has grown from being a small fishing village to a typically Spanish town with all the ingredients for the perfect summer escape.
The main hub of this pretty town is the atmospheric cobbled square, which is lined with shops, restaurants and bars, surrounded by pretty whitewashed houses and if you keep on going towards the turquoise-blue seas that are framed by dazzling-white cliffs, you'll come across the marina, were you will find some amazing restaurants for alfresco dining, serving everything from English, Italian, French, German and Spanish cuisine, so if it’s a traditional Sunday lunch to a typically Spanish Paella, you are spoilt for choice.
Moraira has its fair share of fiestas, the most famous being the Moors and Christians in June. People line the streets to watch the marching parades, listen to the bands, see the stunning, colourful costumes and generally have a good time. The firework displays are always excellent, and always very loud! The aqua firework display is beautiful, with fireworks being set off over Moraira's main beach.

The main beach in Moraira (L'Ampolla) is a golden sandy beach, but there are many blue flag beaches and captivating coves dotted along the coastline and just around the corner there is a hidden gem called El Portet. It’s almost like a Caribbean bay, the water is turquoise, and the waters are very calm and safe for children.
