Relaxing, Cosmopolitan and Chic
Qawra holidays are very popular with the British public - located on the north coast of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea, Qawra is the capital of tranquillity - both relaxing, cosmopolitan and chic, it’s an ideal base to explore the surrounding island.
Found in the north of St. Paul’s Bay, Qawra’s wonderful climate offers 11 hours of sunshine a day during the summer with temperatures often exceeding 30°C. Its pleasant winter temperatures also make it a popular choice for winter breaks.
The official language of Malta is English as until its independence in 1964 it was a British colony, although it does have its own Maltese language.
Qawra doesn’t have a beach as such, just a small shingle area, but there are plenty of places along its rocky shoreline to stretch out your towel and catch some rays. Popular sandy beaches can be found just along the coast at Mellieha Bay. Despite its lack of beaches, water sports are still very popular with those enjoying their Qawra holidays.
