Ancient Sites And Breathtaking Views
Rhodes holidays have provided the opportunity to spend time in one of the most popular destinations around. This pretty island which is the largest of the Dodecanese islands, is one of the hottest and sunniest in Greece with temperatures exceeding 30°C in peak season
Due to the temperature on the island it is also a great place to escape to in early spring and autumn and still enjoy the sunshine. The island of Rhodes houses some of the finest beaches throughout the whole of Greece and is a sun worshiper's paradise. There is a completely separate side to holidays in Rhodes than the hive of beachfront fun and vibrant nightlife that's on offer, the island has a fantastic selection of ancient sites to visit steeped with history and architecture and if you venture inland you can marvel at the lush forested mountains that provide breathtaking views and photo opportunities.
You only have to visit the capital Rhodes Town set in the north east corner of the island to witness the diversity here. The Old Town is a maze of tiny cobbled streets oozing culture with so much architecture wherever you look. The town itself is engulfed by ancient city walls and the 14th Century Palace of the Grand Masters sits proudly within this part. The Old Town is a hub of atmosphere with locals and tourists visiting the amazing sights and exploring the many shops and boutiques. The New Town of Rhodes is a complete contrast with its action packed beachfront, tree lined streets, cosmopolitan vibe and selection of trendy restaurants and clubs attracting a young and lively crowd as well as families and couples.
