The Famous Sunset, A Must See Event
San Antonio holidays in Ibiza provide an unbeatable base should you be looking to have a major clubbing experience. It is quite simply the pinnacle of all the European 'young and lively' style resorts - all the rest are just imitations! Anyone who likes partying hard should have 'San An' at the top of their places to visit list - everyone wants to be seen here because it doesn't get any better than this, it is truly the number 1. However, don't fear that you're going to get eaten alive, as it really isn't as intimidating as you'd imagine as everyone here is really friendly, approachable and out to have a good time.
It is a port town with sailings available over to the other Balearic Islands and the Spanish mainland, and has recently tried to refine its image by renaming itself 'San Antoni de Portmany', although most still know it as 'San Antonio'. Transfers from the airport should take around 30 minutes directly or around 45 minutes indirectly via other stop offs. Accommodation here tends to be of a similar vein, with the main emphasis being on providing adequate, clean and comfortable stays for guests on their San Antonio holidays. Accommodation is usually in the style of an apartment block or a small hotel many of which have a pleasant pool area, although for many who head here the accommodation is probably the least of their worries! If you are looking for a more substantial hotel that is in a less hectic area then stay in San Antonio Bay, which extends out for around 3 miles from San Antonio Town and has its own promenade. This area with its own bars and restaurants is more suitable for a wider range of traveller, yet is still in touching distance of the town. Most hotels in the bay are also handily located for the beach.
Once you're up and about you can spend your days topping up your tan around the pool or on the sandy beaches, maybe taking a breather along the way by heading for a spot of lunch in one of the many restaurants serving local and international favourites. Or if you're feeling energetic then go to the water park, test out your go-karting skills, or take advantage of the brilliant water sports on offer such as the parasailing, which you can pay a supplement for to go out during the famous San Antonio sunset. Speaking of the famous sunset, it really is a must see event... grown men have been known to cry at its beauty!!!
