Colourful working harbour and bargain hunting

There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained during the day in Cala Bona, from watching the fishermen bringing in the catch of the day at the colourful working harbour to meandering your way through the narrow streets sampling local delights from the many cafes. Shopping here is mostly local crafts and goods but for the bargain hunters the local market, San Servera, which takes place on a Friday, is a must.

Late deals to Cala Bona are ideally situated to explore the island. The truly amazing Caves of Drach at Porto Cristo are an absolute must where visitors go through the subterranean lakes on a boat to view the natural limestone formations to the sound of classical music. Take a trip on a tourist train to visit The Safari Park which is home to elephants, apes and a petting zoo. Visitors can even try their hand at horse riding at the local stables or choose from four great golf courses to practice their swing. With so much to offer it is understandable why Cala Bona remains a firm favourite in Majorca. Late deals to Cala Bona are available to book online at Latedeals.co.uk.

Enjoy a laid back Mediterranean break

Originally a small fishing village, it has developed into a family friendly and traditional resort attracting holiday makers year after year. Cala Bona, meaning ‘good bay’, is home to several small sandy beaches with clear waters dotted with rocky coves to explore. At around an hour and a half away from Palma airport it is quieter than its neighbouring resort Cala Millor.

Holidays in Cala Bona offer a good choice of accommodation from self catering to all inclusive many with beach front locations. Entertainment is more low key and mostly hotel based. For a livelier evening Cala Millor is a 20 minute stroll down the promenade and is host to many bars, cafes and restaurants.
