    If you like taking a day trip, the harbour resort of Morro Jable’s only a short drive away. The quaint old town has a fantastic mix of shops, eateries and some of the longest beaches in the Canary Islands. Those in search of adventure can take the jet foil to the nearby Gran Canaria – it’s the perfect way to see more of this breathtaking coast.

    The huge beach of Sotovento is a short walk down the coast. This sheltered spot is great for family fun. In a sea of around 20°C all year – you might just want to float around in the warm water.     More than a golf course

    Take a 30-minute drive from Costa Calma and play on one of the Canary Islands‘ best golf courses. Jandia Golf at Fuerteventura – a magnificent 18-hole course created by Ron Kirby – is surrounded by white sand beaches, exotic greenery and benefits from year-round temperatures of between 21°C and 27°C.

    The course has been designed to challenge even the most experienced player, with four lakes on the route and many dry riverbeds. The field itself is located near a protected nature area. On the windward side of the island loggerhead sea turtles can sometimes be seen laying their eggs.

    An oasis of a park

    Those looking to get close to nature will love a day out at Oasis Park in La Lajita. This zoo and botanical gardens house more than 250 different species! Meet monkeys, giraffes and zebras or even swim with sea lions! You can take your own camel safari through the botanical gardens or cuddle up with lemurs in the Lemur Experience.
