Maspalomas holidays are famous for its giant sand dunes and spectacular beach, being the most beautiful on the island.
There is a traditional blue flag bathing area with sun beds and parasols, families and couples will love this area although it can get a little busy. To the west of Maspalomas lies Meloneras, an away from it all upmarket district, with the effervescent Playa Del Ingles to the east.
Waters sports are as popular as ever with parasailing, jet skiing, water skiing, body boarding, inflatables and even deep sea fishing, to try your hand at. If golf is your thing then holidays in Maspalomas have a couple of golf courses to choose from but probably the best is the one surrounded by sand dunes, perhaps not ideal when you are trying to play golf, but worth it for the stunning surroundings and amazing Atlantic views.
A camel trek over the dunes will take you to the El Faro de Maspalomas, the tallest lighthouse in the Canary Islands, surrounded by al fresco eateries, and La Charco, a sea water lagoon shimmering like an oasis in the desert.
