Deep sea diving or submarine trips

Holidays to Puerto Calero have quite an exclusive air to them, with upmarket accommodation, trendy boutiques and a rather impressive marina.

Puerto Calero Deals

Relax and enjoy the luxurious surroundings

Purpose built around 20 years ago, Puerto Calero neighbours Puerto del Carmen on the south west coast of Lanzarote and its secluded location keeps it sheltered from the island’s north easterly breeze. Puerto Calero was the brain child of a property developer who wanted to create an exclusive retreat with luxurious facilities and a privileged residential area, and he certainly succeeded. Late deals to Puerto Calero are perfect for those seeking a slightly more upmarket last minute getaway.

A wonderful base for exploring

Last minute holidays to Puerto Calero could see you rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous; the affluent marina is awash with multi-million pound yachts and lined with upmarket boutiques and swanky restaurants. Relax in the marina and wile away the hours with a spot of people watching before climbing aboard a catamaran and cruising along the Lanzarote shoreline.

Deep sea diving trips can be arranged from the marina, but if you prefer not to get wet, then take a submarine excursion to view the wonderful underwater world through your very own porthole.

Venturing a little further afield on Puerto Calero holidays could see you visiting the Ruta de los Volcanes, only if you like hiking though as this is a 19 kilometre trek along the islands dormant volcanoes. Not everyone’s idea of fun, and perhaps better suited to cooler days, however it is both fascinating and beautiful, don’t forget your camera!

Timanfaya National Park is another favourite excursion on holidays in Puerto Calero or for stunning panoramic views, take a trip to the north of the island to Mirador del Rio, an old lookout point updated in 1974 by the local artist Cesar Manrique.

There is no beach at Puerto Calero but the golden sands at nearby Puerto del Carmen are within easy reach.

Puerto Calero holidays will suit those who enjoy a slightly more affluent feel to their Lanzarote holidays, but be prepared for prices to reflect this. Book late deals to Puerto Calero online here at
