Keepin’ Busy

Though it’s a small country, Gibraltar’s activities list really packs a punch! You can hike to the Rock of Gibraltar’s summit, giving you the chance to explore this amazing nature reserve. If you’re feeling up to it you can also enter the Skywalk, a glass viewing platform just a tiny 340 metres above sea level.

Gibraltar is also brimming with history – particularly centred around World War II. In the early 1800s, British soldiers dug miles of maze-like underground tunnels, to protect themselves from incoming cannon fire. These were expanded during World War II, bringing the total distance to over 34 miles. They’re now one of Gibraltar’s must-see attractions, and are definitely worth a visit!

Home From Home

If it wasn’t for the warm weather, then you’d truly think you were on a British high street when in Gibraltar’s town centre. You’ll spot red post boxes, fish and chip shops, plenty of places for afternoon tea and even some favourite high street stores.

Some of the shops you can explore in Gibraltar include Marks & Spencer, Next and The Olde Sweet Shoppe, as well as shops selling VAT-free perfume, jewellery, and souvenirs.
