Traditional architecture, beautiful buildings and colourful flowers

Benitses holidays have been a popular choice of destination for over thirty years. The peaceful, laid back fishing village on the east coast of Corfu where relaxation is high on the agenda, is a far cry from the hectic 80's when Benitses was well known for its youthful appeal.

Family friendly enviroment

The sand, shingle and pebble beach has a blue flag award for its cleanliness with jetties and platforms protruding from the clear blue waters making it an exceptionally good choice for swimmers and snorkelers.

The traditional architecture, beautiful whitewashed buildings and abundance of colourful flowers accentuate the wonderfully authentic Greek feel this resort oozes. The Roman villa and baths are still evident today and offer a glimpse in to what life will have been like here many years ago. Water sports are available here as are boat trips from the pedestrianised harbour, taking you out into the sea for wonderful views of this beautiful coastline and the chance to visit other beaches and coves. The surrounding countryside offers amazing trails with stunning views, natural springs and interesting wildlife.

Places to Visit

Water Springs

– For those who are fit enough there is a well marked walk up into the hills to see the water springs. Well worth the effort – just to see the wildlife away from all the tourists! Be warned, take some water with you to drink because there are no shops up there! There is also a shell museum, on display are shells obviously, and a large assortment of sea urchins and stuffed fish.

Roman Baths

– Archaeological excavations in the estate of the Kapsokavadis family unearthed ruins of Roman villa and the remnants of hot baths dating back to Roman times. The baths are relatively well preserved and the decorative mosaics of the floor are clearly visible.
