Long expanse of sands

Tingaki beach is over six kilometres long and is where visitors and locals flock to enjoy the sunshine and bask in the unrivalled scenery of this part of the island. There are lots of sunloungers and parasols lining the sands, and tavernas and bars coat the shoreline, serving up snacks and cold drinks for sunbathing visitors.

This long stretch of sand has plenty of room for sun worshippers and, compared to its neighbouring cities, is blissfully quiet. You can look out across the sea to Turkey as you layer on the sun screen and stretch out over the soft sands. The shallow water here is ideal for those travelling with children as they can wade easily in the warm clear seas.

The town’s constant onshore breeze means this beach is also very popular with watersports enthusiasts. You can explore the waters and have some fun by kite surfing, wind surfing, water skiing and even scuba diving off this coast. Scuba diving courses are offered around the island for both experienced and new divers who want to take advantage of the incredible underwater marine life.
