Go exploring and see how the locals live

If sunbathing is your thing, this area has many stunning beaches. Valtos is the most popular and can get busy in the summer. With its gorgeous sands and crystal clear waters, it’s ideal for snorkelling and water skiing too. If you want a little more privacy, there are many beaches around the coastline which are only accessible by boat. Take a water taxi to the secluded coves or one of the small islands off the mainland, you’ll feel like Shirley Valentine! If you enjoy boat trips, you can take a trip to the neighbouring islands like Corfu or Lefkas. Holidays in Parga are also popular with Italian holidaymakers because of the busy ferry links between the two countries.

Hiring a car is great way to explore the area, you’ll stumble upon traditional villages and see the way the locals live. Drive through the mountains and you will see much of the local wildlife (the area is famous for the birds which take up residence here) and take in the view of the town. Marvel at the white washed houses rising up from the harbour, it looks like a picture postcard. An ideal photo opportunity! Holidays to Parga are available through
