Be a beach bum

You could come to Costa Blanca for years and still never sample all of the beaches that run for 200 kilometres along this beautiful piece of coastline. Most of them have Blue Flag status for cleanliness and top facilities, which makes them tourist friendly.

Benidorm’s six kilometres of sand includes Levante beach, which has the most to do for all the family. The shore slopes gently for anyone who just wants a paddle, while further out there are swinging bridges, diving boards, rafts and a wet playground, as well as a whole array of watersports should you fancy a go. To the west, Poniente Beach is one of the biggest and has a new promenade. Despite their size, both of these areas get very busy so you might want to slip off to Malpas beach by the harbour for some quiet time. Whether you like the buzzing holiday vibe or you prefer a little more tranquillity, Costa Blanca holidays have it.

The smaller resort of Denia is the place to go for your very own piece of beach as there are 20 kilometres to go around. They range from the bays of Les Rotes beach, which backs on to Montgo nature reserve, to urban beaches with all the trimmings like Les Marines. Meanwhile, families frequent the two Blue Flag curving beaches of Moraira for their sheltered nature with good facilities. Choose from our wide range of cheap holidays, luxury resorts and All Inclusive hotels in Costa Blanca.

Nightlife

After all that lounging on the beach, you’ll have plenty of energy to burn in the bars and clubs come night time. Of course Benidorm is the best place to really let off some steam and the ways to do it range from foam parties, outdoor and indoor pool parties and dance gardens to rock shows, cabaret and karaoke. So whether you fancy a swift pint in an Irish bar or dancing until 8am in one of the Ibiza style clubs – El Divino or Space for example – you can do it here.

Some nights you’ll just want to chill out though, and while there’s a little bit of everything in Benidorm, it’s the smaller resorts in Costa Blanca that allow you to sit back in your chair and watch the world go by. In Moraira there are flamenco guitarists to listen to on Plaza de la Iglesia or you could try chilled out bars and jazz joints on Denia’s Calle La Mar.

Even if you’re on an All Inclusive Costa Blanca trip, make sure you venture out from your hotel at least once to experience live music and great cocktails on the white sand coast.

Slides and rides

You won’t be short of something to do with your friends and family during the day as there is an exciting range of fun parks in Costa Blanca. If you’re staying in the town then Aqualand waterpark and Mundomar animal park are within walking distance on the Eastern edge of Benidorm.

A little further out of town are Terra Mitica theme park and more family-oriented, pirate-themed Iberia Park. Terra Natura wildlife park and its neighbouring water park are also in this area, but all are easily accessed by regular buses which will take you there directly. As many of the parks are run by the same companies you can get combined tickets to visit on different days which will save you some money. There’s plenty of days out to be had in Costa Blanca, it really is a great family destination.

Enjoy the scenery

Costa Blanca is flanked on one side by its picturesque coast and on the other by magnificent mountains which are ripe for hiking. Or you may prefer to stroll through the valleys full of orange, lemon and almond groves.

The Algar waterfalls are around a 15-minute drive from both Benidorm and Moraira. Here you can explore the 1.5-kilometre walkway that crosses the River Algar and rewards visitors with amazing views over the falls.

Other places of interest around the area are the city of Alicante, with its hilltop castle and chic boutiques, and Valencia, which has ultra-modern architecture and an oceanographic aquarium. You’ll be landing home from your Costa Blanca holiday with a whole album of stunning snaps to make everyone jealous.

Hit the shops

Costa Blanca is certainly not short of shops. Benidorm and Alicante are where you’ll find the most designer boutiques. Although, Denia’s tree-lined Carrer Marques de Campo also has a good selection alongside high street names such as Mango and Zara. There are also malls brimming with all sorts of shops, including Benidorm’s three-floor La Marina centre.

If you’re looking to hunt out a bargain and get a feel for local life, make sure you head to one of the markets that are hosted weekly. Moraira’s Friday morning street market is one of the biggest in the area and sells all types of food, clothing, soft furnishings and household goods for you to take back home with you. Visit one of Benidorm’s three markets, either on the weekend or a Wednesday. One which is a flea market, one more for clothes and gifts and the third selling local fruit and vegetables, crafts and other authentic Spanish products. You haven’t really been on holiday to Costa Blanca unless you bring back a souvenir!
