Over the last few years, the colourful fishing boats have largely been replaced by tour boats, but the village has managed to retain its traditional feel Akyarlar holidays have begun to attract more and more tourists. The long sandy beach close to Akyarlar is washed by warm clear waters where the Aegean meets the Med and has been voted by Forbes magazine as one of the most luxurious stretches in the world. Just one look and you will understand why dramatic cliffs plunge down to cobalt waters, while soft white sands are backed by a ribbon of greenery totally breathtaking. Views overlooking the Greek island of Kos from the shoreline are impressive.
