This place is right in the heart of Playa Blanca, so there's plenty going on nearby. A 20-minute walk – or five-minute cab ride – lands you on the resort's sugar-soft beach, Playa Flamingo.

Pools

The main pool's shaped like a big splat of paint, and has a shallow version for kids beside it. Drinks and nibbles are dished out from a thatched-roof snack shack.

Pool Scene

Dino Park, the hotel's onsite waterpark, is packed with splash-happy slides. There's a tower of intertwining flumes for adrenaline junkies, plus a shin-high pool filled with diddy cartoon slides, fountains and tipping buckets.

Food & Drink

Big skillets of paella, Canarian potatoes and grilled fish fillets are served in the buffet restaurant. Or, you can spice things up by paying the Asian-slash-Italian buffet restaurant a visit.

Entertainment

Kids' club activities are on the cards during the day, and there's a mini-disco where they can throw some shapes later on.

Sports & Activities

There's a scaled-down go-kart track beside the waterpark, plus a soft play area for wee ones. Adults, meanwhile, can grab a racket for a rally on the tennis court.

Paradise Island has a waterpark that's complete with seven slides and an animal-inspired kids' zone. There are a couple of restaurants for main meals, plus a snack bar to keep hunger pangs at bay. Tennis and go-karting are on the activity list, and sprogs can roll around a soft play area.
