The Myrtia Summer Village counts a traditional Greek restaurant and a pretty pool area among its highlights. Plus, it puts a sandy beach right at your fingertips.
Some of Skiathos’ mainstays are within easy reach of this hotel. Koukounaries Beach – a 600-metre-long sandy swathe – is a 10-minute walk away. Further afield, you can get to the island’s capital, Skiathos Town, in 20 minutes by car.

You’ll find the pool in a tree-lined courtyard, in the middle of the hotel. There’s a rectangular section that’s perfect for swimming lengths, and a shallow area for little ones to paddle in.
You can stroll down to Koukounaries Beach in 10 minutes. It’s the biggest beach in the area, and comes with a scattering of sunbeds, bars and watersports* centres.
Meals are dished up in the Greek-meets-Mediterranean à la carte restaurant. You can dine al fresco at a table by the pool. There’s a snack bar in the pool courtyard, too, which serves sandwiches and salads during the day.
Alternatively, you can use the kitchenette in your room to rustle up some of your favourite home-cooked recipes.
Live Greek music shows, quiz nights and family-friendly movie screenings are organised throughout the week.
Activity-wise, you can work on your backhand on the tennis court, or give ping pong a go.
Most of the facilities here revolve around the pool. It’s in a central courtyard, with a shallow area for children to play in and a poolside bar. The à la carte restaurant also has tables set up near the water’s edge, and it serves a mix of Greek and Mediterranean dishes. Tennis and ping pong, meanwhile, headline the activity scene.
