The Sunrise Hotel’s settled in a top-of-the-line location, right next to its own section of private beach and just down the road from Marmaris’ energetic town centre.

A taxi will have you in the middle of Marmaris in less than 10 minutes. As well as a quaint old town with a perfect-for-exploring Ottoman castle, you’ll also find a tree-dusted seafront promenade to wander along.

The pool’s an oval-shaped number, with a frame of sunbeds and parasols for company. There are plenty of Aegean Sea glimpses to be had, too. You can grab light bites and drinks at the nearby snack bar during the day.

Cooked-to-order eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit and pastries are laid out for the morning buffet, which has garnered excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. You can head to the restaurant for an à la carte dinner, too.

Live music starts up after dark a few times a week, and you can sip drinks in the British-style pub until late.

The good-sized pool sits on a pretty, tiled sunbathing terrace, and offers up great sea views. There’s a snack bar dealing in small plates and drinks, too. Food-wise, you can fill up at the breakfast buffet of a morning, and then head back for an à la carte dinner.
