There are three pools overall, one of which is an infinity number on its roof terrace. It’s for over-16s only and has remarkable views of the ocean. You should note that it’s only open during peak season.
Palm trees and sunloungers edge the ground floor pool. There’s also a heated indoor pool that you can use year round. Alternatively, cross the road in front of the hotel and you’ll find yourself on the beach.
The main restaurant – the Guéliz – has a ceiling hung with lanterns and a menu sporting everything from antipasti to carveries. Every Thursday is a traditional Maltese night, when only local recipes are served.
There’s also the Tagine Restaurant, where Morocco meets India in both the food and the decor. And the Q-Zins Restaurant serves up five styles of food, including sushi, on an al fresco terrace.
The Kosy Bar’s your best bet for evening entertainment – think live music, dancing shows and karaoke.
When it comes to staying active, the hotel team runs a programme that ticks off sports competitions, dance classes and aqua sports in the pool. There’s lots for kids to do, too.
The db San Antonio Hotel + Spa’s got three pools – one of which is an infinity number on a roof terrace. It’s got a Marrakech-inspired spa and a gym with lots of new equipment in. There’s a team that runs lots of activities for both adults and children. Plus, there's a collection of smart restaurants, one of which runs themed Maltese nights.
The spa facilities are inspired by Marrakech, with merlot-red walls and twinkling lanterns in many of the treatment rooms. There’s a mud chamber, a private whirlpool bath, a sauna and a steam room.
The NewForm Fitness Club’s got lots of new equipment – including a sparring boxing ring.

All of the rooms have been newly refurbished. They come with air-conditioning, satellite TV and a balcony or terrace. If you're travelling with the kids, a family room offers up more space - for up to 4. A bit extra will get you a pool view or sea view.
