The Skanes Family Resort has put down roots right on the beach. And it's got a top pool scene to boot.
If you fancy exploring, it’s less than 30 minutes’ drive to a medina and a souk. Or, a cab ride to buzzing Monastir will take you roughly 10 minutes.
A holiday rep will visit the hotel frequently during your stay. We've also got our childcare team on hand. And, we're available 24/7 via the TUI App. It's packed with info and tips, and sends you important updates, like your transfer times. Download the TUI App for free from the App Store or Google Play - if you switch on notifications, we'll be able to keep you updated.
You’ll need to pay a hotel tax on arrival. It’s 2 Tunisian Dinars per person per night for 3-star hotels, and 3 Tunisian Dinars per person per night for 4 and 5-star hotels. It applies to everyone aged 12 and over, and you’ll only have to pay this for a maximum of seven nights, even if you’re staying longer.
There are three pools in all – two are outside and there’s another one indoors. The liveliest of the outdoor pair has waterslides, while the other's right by the beach. There are three kids' pools, too.
There’s a pool bar in the centre of things, serving up chilled drinks. Wander onto the beach, and you’ll find watersports* and a lot of sunbeds.
The buffet restaurant hosts a different theme every night. There’s also a children’s buffet – the spread includes fish fingers, pasta and other child-friendly favourites.
On top of the main buffet, there's a Tunisian speciality restaurant, a beach bar and a Moorish-style café* serving fresh mint tea and shishas.
The entertainment here's impressive – it’s all held in a special amphitheatre. The acts are family-orientated, so expect things like singers performing Broadway numbers and traditional dance shows.
Little ones are kept busy at the TUI Kids' Club. When they're not there, they can also tackle the playground.
For everyone else, there's tennis courts, as well as boules, darts and regular volleyball tournaments.
The spa comes with a traditional hammam*, which is great for a massage and body scrub. There’s also a whirlpool bath and rounding things off is the gym*.
This place is all about family fun. From the two outdoor pools, which include an aqua park, to the TUI Kids' Club and spa – there's something for everyone. Activity-wise, you can get involved in aerobics, tennis and water polo, or take the tiny ones to the playground. After dark, the entertainment steps up a notch with live music and shows. And the dining scene's just as all-encompassing, with the main buffet, a Tunisian and international speciality restaurant and a couple of bars.
